Brief: 2012 MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL COFFEE EXPO promises to be a premium experience unlike any other. From 4 – 6 May 2012, the Grand Pavilion at the Melbourne Showgrounds will be ignited with 100 coffee industry exhibitors, making this 2012 M.I.C.E the largest dedicated coffee tradeshow ever to be staged in Australia. The ‘who’s who’ in the coffee world will showcase the best the industry has to offer. With 8000sqm of space dedicated to this debut event, the 2012 M.I.C.E will engage all spectrums of the coffee industry, including; green bean traders, wholesale roasters, commercial and domestic equipment, cafés and franchises, coffee equipment, accessories and education and training. Brief: The 2012 Western Australian Coffee Championships are being held over the weekend of 17th and 18th March 2012. It’s all part of the Eat Drink Perth This is the peak annual coffee event in WA, now in its 7th year. The event’s main purpose is to select the WA state champions in each of Barista, Latte Art and Coffee Cupping events who’ll go on to represent WA at the National Championships to be held in Melbourne in May 2012, and a crack at representing Australia at the 13th World Barista Championships in Vienna, Austria. Overall it’s a great weekend encompassing the passion, spirit and dedication to the craft of espresso and exploring and delivering the promise of today’s best specialty grade coffees from top farmers worldwide. It’s a sensory spectacle!
