The 2012 Western Australian Coffee Championships are being held over the weekend of 17th and 18th March 2012. It’s all part of the Eat Drink Perth
This is the peak annual coffee event in WA, now in its 7th year.

The event’s main purpose is to select the WA state champions in each of Barista, Latte Art and Coffee Cupping events who’ll go on to represent WA at the National Championships to be held in Melbourne in May 2012, and a crack at representing Australia at the 13th World Barista Championships in Vienna, Austria.

Overall it’s a great weekend encompassing the passion, spirit and dedication to the craft of espresso and exploring and delivering the promise of today’s best specialty grade coffees from top farmers worldwide.

It’s a sensory spectacle!
Beyond the live action on stage which is also up on screens, you can taste standout coffees and learn about the coffee seed-to-cup journey in a fragrant atmosphere of freshly roasted, freshly ground coffee.
