Terms and Conditions – Latte Art
By signing this entry form, competitors acknowledge that they understand the following terms and conditions of entering the championship. Note that these terms and conditions include individual responsibilities and requirements of representation imposed upon all competitors in the championship.
1.
a) In all disputes, the Head Judges’ decision is final.
b) State Championships will only be held upon reaching minimum entrants numbers: a. Minimum required entrants for State Barista Championship: 6 b. Minimum required entrants for State Cup Tasting Championship: 6 c. Minimum required entrants for State Latte Art Championship: 9
c) Travel and endorsement of state champions and national champions is dependent on minimum entrant numbers having been reached for the national semi-finals and finals. Final decision of travel and endorsement of competitors to national and world coffee events will be at Executive Committee discretion: a. Minimum required entrants for Australian Barista Championship semi-finals: 4 x state champions b. Minimum required entrants for Australian Cup Tasting Championship finals: 4 x state-champions c. Minimum required entrants for Australian Latte Art Championship finals: 3 x state champions.By signing this entry form, competitors acknowledge that they understand the following terms and conditions of entering the championship. Note that these terms and conditions include individual responsibilities and requirements of representation imposed upon the winner of the state and national Championships.
2. The Winner of the Australian Latte Art Championship (ALAC) is a representative of AustralAsian Specialty Coffee Association (AASCA).
3. Upon entry in the Championship and in exchange for the opportunity to win the first prize, each entrant in the ABC undertakes that they will:
a) Permit AASCA to use the winner’s name and image in any format without charge for the purposes of promotion of the Association or the Australian Latte Art Championship.
b) Without limiting the generality of clause a, the formats referred to in clauses a may include: photographic, video, print, internet or any electronic media
c) When fulfilling these Terms and Conditions, actively work to uphold the good reputation of the AustralAasian Specialty Coffee Association and the Australian Latte Art Championship.4. Upon entry in the Championship and in exchange for the opportunity to win the first prize, each entrant in the ALAC undertakes that, should they win the Championship, they will:
a) Be available to travel to compete in the next World Latte Art Championship.
b) Cover the costs of food, travel and miscellaneous costs while overseas. AASCA will provide airfares, accommodation and travel insurance only.
c) Include the name “AustralAsian Specialty Coffee Association” or “AASCA” immediately before the name “Australian Latte Art Championship” or “Australian Latte Art Champion” in each instance in which the name “Australian Latte Art Championship” or “Australian Latte Art Champion” is mentioned.
d) Include the name “Australian Latte Art Championship” or “Australian Latte Art Champion” in each instance in which the name “World Latte Art Championship” or “World Latte Art Champion” is mentioned.
e) Without limiting the generality of clauses c) or d), the instances referred to in clauses c) and d) include mention verbally, in print or via any digital media.
f) Promote the AustralAsian Specialty Coffee Association at every opportunity without charge to AASCA.
g) Promote the Australian Latte Art Championship as the only Australian pathway to the World Latte Art Championship at every opportunity without charge to AASCA.
h) During the period from the announcement of the ALAC winner until the announcement of the following year’s ALAC winner, perform such promotional or teaching tasks as AASCA may specify for a maximum duration of 100 hours without charge to AASCA, including attending AASCA’s Annual General Meeting, Trade Show and/or Conference.
j) Without limiting the generality of clauses h) or i), the tasks referred to in clauses h) and i) may include: participation in media interviews, live appearances, writing of columns for the Association newsletter or website, teaching or training.Detpak AASCA Barista Championships (WA)

Davinci Coffee-Chain Barista Championship Terms and Conditions
- As an AASCA event, all standard Australian Barista Championship event rules and judging will apply, including AASCA accredited judges and World Barista Championship rules.
- The winner of the Davinci Coffee-Chain Barista Championship also gets free entry to the Australia National Barista Championship repechage heat to compete against Australia’s best baristas
- The vent will be run at the MICE (Melbourne International Coffee Exhibition) at the Australian Barista Championship in May 2012.
- Competitors must be nominated by the coffee chain at which they work as a barista.
- A coffee chain must be National business operating in 3 states or more, and must have more than 30 outlets. It may be a single company, multiple companies operating under the same corporate branding, or a franchise. A coffee chain excludes coffee wholesalers.
- A maximum of 20 Competitors will be accepted, with a limit of 2 competitors per brand/chain
